Hi, I’m Rupreet. Growing up, my grandfather, Baba, made a nine-herb mix that was known across our local community. “Look after your gut,” he would tell us. “Everything starts with digestion.”
I went on to spend more than a decade in the pharmaceutical industry, across vaccines, pharmaceuticals and generic medicines, and studied Healthcare Innovation at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. In pharma, nothing reaches a patient until it has been made to strict standards and tested.
So when I looked at the Ayurvedic supplements on sale in the UK, I was looking for a brand that worked the same way. I couldn’t find one: unclear sourcing, unnecessary fillers, batches that aren’t independently tested. One study published in JAMA found that one in five Ayurvedic products bought online contained detectable lead, mercury or arsenic.
That’s why my family and I set up r-veda®: to keep Baba’s tradition alive, and bring it up to modern standards. Made in the UK to GMP standards. Clean, minimal ingredients.
