Ayurvedic Principle:  Prashamana — The Art of Calming the Mind

In Ayurveda, Prashamana refers to calming therapies that restore inner peace by pacifying overactive doshas, particularly Vata (air + space) and Pitta (fire + water). When these elements are imbalanced, the mind races, sleep becomes light or fragmented, and energy swings between restlessness and fatigue.

Our blends combine herbs known as Medhya Rasayanas (rejuvenators for the mind), fostering mental clarity and emotional composure alongside deep sleep.

The Modern Science: Adaptogens and Neuroendocrine Balance

Centuries before neuroscience, Ayurveda described stress as a disturbance of Vata and depletion of Ojas.
Today, modern research aligns with this — chronic stress overactivates the HPA axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal), disrupting cortisol rhythms, immunity, and sleep architecture.

Key evidence:

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): Multiple randomized controlled trials demonstrate Ashwagandha’s ability toreduce perceived stress by up to 44%,lower serum cortisol by ~28%, and significantlyimprove sleep quality and mental calmness.

Holy Basil (Tulsi, Ocimum sanctum):
