GREEN CARDAMOM

HISTORY

Name: Green cardamom, also known as Elettaria cardamomum

Cardamom is a spice made from the seeds of several pods that originates in the Indian subcontinent. Ancient civilizations have had a great deal of respect for this spice, with the earliest written reference appearing in the Ayurveda, and the ancient Greek physicians Dioscorides and Hippocrates writing about its therapeutic properties.

Including limonene, linalool, and cineol, which contribute to its aromatic and medicinal properties.

Quercetin and kaempferol, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
