HISTORY
Name: Green cardamom, also known as Elettaria cardamomum
Cardamom is a spice made from the seeds of several pods that originates in the Indian subcontinent. Ancient civilizations have had a great deal of respect for this spice, with the earliest written reference appearing in the Ayurveda, and the ancient Greek physicians Dioscorides and Hippocrates writing about its therapeutic properties.
